I went to Susnguakti forest of Arfak mountains last week. I spent three nights there repairing our tents. We had used them to serve our visitors who wanted to explore the bio-diversity of tropical rainforest of Arfak mountains. There were a lot of trees, shrubs, lianas and creeping plants, orchids, and mushrooms that we could see in the jungle. Insects such as butterflies, dragon flies, ants and grasshopper were abundant. There were also monitor lizards, frogs and birds as well as marsupial animals that could be watched in the forest.

Most visitors stayed between 3 to 4 days hiking and camping in Susnguakti forest. They enjoyed watching paradise birds, observing tropical plants and animals of New Guinea.
