Minahasa is a region in the Province of North Sulawesi, Indonesia. Its population work as farmers. They grow grain (rice, corn), vegetables, fruits and beans (peanut, red bean, and etc). Various kinds of agricultural commodities such as coconut, patchouli, vanilla, and clove can be seen in Minahasa.

In addition to food crops, Minahasan farmers also grow various kinds of flowers such as bougainvillea, orchid, rose and etc. City dwellers from Manado, Bitung and other cities in Indonesia like to buy them.
Fresh water fishery could be seen in Subdistrict Sonder, and Tondano. Farmers raise tilapia, and carp in their fish ponds.

How to get there? - To take this tour, visitors need to fly from their country to one of the major cities in Indonesia such as Jakarta, Surabaya, Denpasar or Makassar. After that, they could continue their trip by plane to Manado city which is the capital of the Province of North Sulawesi.

Other ecotourism activities which visitors could enjoy during the tour include hiking in Mount Mahawu, visits to Lake Linow and Lake Tondano as well as a trip to waterfalls. In these places, visitors could enjoy birdwatching and butterflywatching.
